capitalization

I have noticed when starting a new line of text, hitting then Capitalization button once and then the letter does not capitalize consistently. But if I do it for the second letter and then backspace and retype the first letter it correctly capitalizes. Also I just learned that adding a period to the end of a sentence trigger spell check incorrectly on the last word.
